The biggest worries of hoteliers

We have identified the three biggest concerns of our fellow hoteliers. Below we list them, short and sweet:

Quality

Quality is cleanliness. It is order, good maintenance, a good presentation, a cordial treatment, personalized attention. It is knowing how to manage complaints. It is anticipating customer requests. It is exceeding expectations... It is the set of details that make the client feel better in a hotel than at home and that they prefer to choose that hotel again instead of any others if they had to visit the same destination again.

Sales

For a hotel, an unsold room is a lost and unrecoverable sale. For example, imagine a jewelry shop that had to throw away all the jewelry that could not be sold on a day. It would cause a significant monetary loss... This is the same that a hotel loses for not selling its rooms one day. Here lies the importance of the role of the Revenue Manager, who after analyzing the market, the environment and taking into account the advantages and weaknesses of our establishment, will determine the most optimal rate to guarantee the largest possible sale of rooms according to the season and day and to get a higher RevPar.

Costs

Last but not least, as much as our sales are good, if we do not have the correct Cost Control, we will go from making profits to suffering losses. Good cost management relies mainly on the supply of inventories and consumption controls, which will help the hotel above all to identify its profit margin and anticipate possible deviations.

If we focus on the good management of these 3 points, would we eliminate the greatest of our concerns? Review your own hotel experience and give us your opinion!
